Matthew Gum - Principal & Vice President

As a principal of C&C Capital, Matthew Gum is involved in all forms of debt and equity finance of institutional commercial real estate throughout northern California and the greater western United States. Prior to forming C&C Capital with his partner Bradford Zampa, Mr. Gum spent 5 years with Michael O’Connor & Co., a boutique commercial real estate finance group in San Francisco, CA, where he developed a specialization in structuring debt and equity finance packages for opportunistic clients purchasing and repositioning assets viewed by the market as challenged. Mr. Gum has been involved in over $2 billion in commercial real estate transactions during his career.

Prior to joining Michael O’Connor & Co., Mr. Gum spent almost 5 years with Conning Asset Management (a subsidiary of General American Life Insurance Company) in both the Northern Pacific and Phoenix Investment Offices. With Conning he was involved in the origination and funding of permanent and construction debt on all forms of commercial real estate, in addition to joint venture development with local real estate organizations.

Mr. Gum received his BA in Business Administration with a concentration in finance and economics from Monmouth College, where he attended on a full academic scholarship.

Bradford J. Zampa - Principal & Vice President

Bradford Zampa is a principal and founder of C&C Capital along with his partner Matthew Gum. Brad is currently involved in placing both debt and equity on a variety of commercial real estate product types throughout the western United States. Prior to founding C&C Capital, Brad worked at Michael O’Connor & Company for over 7-years specializing in financing office, R&D, retail, multi-family and condominium developments with institutional and private investors. Throughout his career, Brad has closed over $2 Billion in commercial real estate transactions.

After passing the California State Bar in June 1997, Brad decided to pursue a career in commercial real estate finance. He joined O’Connor & Fowler, later Michael O’Connor & Company, in September 1997 and was involved in the sourcing, underwriting, placing and closing of over $600 Million in transactions. Starting as an analyst, Brad moved into production and has established numerous local and out of state clients. He has worked with over 100 capital sources nationwide, placing both debt and equity on structured commercial real estate transactions. His clients include institutional buyers and developers, as well as local, private real estate professionals.

Brad was born and raised in San Francisco and Marin County where he currently resides. After graduating from the University of San Diego in 1992, Brad worked as a loan officer at Homeowner's Finance Center in San Francisco . In 1994 Brad went on to law school where he earned his J.D. at Golden Gate University with a real estate specialization and passed the bar in 1997. Brad practiced real estate law during and after law school in San Francisco with Wild, Carey & Fife and with Sheppard, Weisberg & Miller.

In conjunction with being an active member of State Bar of California and the American Bar Association Real Property Division, Brad is a licensed California real estate broker. In addition, he is an active member of ICSC, ULI and the MBA.

Eric Movsessian - Vice President

As a Vice President at C&C Capital, Eric Movsessian is involved in placing debt on all real estate product types throughout the western United States.  He is primarily focused on private capital and 1031 exchange transactions involving loan amounts ranging from $5MM - $15MM.  In addition, Eric also assists the principals of C&C Capital in larger institutional debt and equity placements.

Prior to joining C&C Capital, Eric was with KPMG LLP in the Assurance Services Group.  Specializing in Financial Institutions, he served his two main clients, Countrywide Financial Corporation and WMC Finance (a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Capital).

Eric received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics w/ an Emphasis in Accounting from The University of California at Santa Barbara.  He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the UC Santa Barbara Northern California Alumni Campaign.  Eric is a licensed California real estate broker and is also currently awaiting CPA Licensure from the State of California as he has successfully completed all four parts of the Uniform CPA Examination.

JP Hailer - Sales & Marketing Assistant

JP Hailer joined the San Francisco office of C&C Capital in May 2007 to handle the sales and marketing department.  Her responsibilities include the preparation of marketing and presentation materials; compilation of packages; use of graphic design to create customized marketing materials; and oversight of the due diligence process and closing process.

JP is from Tempe Arizona and has lived in San Francisco for three years.  She is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and holds a certificate of Economics from Thammassat University in Bangkok, Thailand. 

Prior to C&C Capital JP worked as a licensed life & health insurance agent and shared in the client relations, due diligence and marketing responsibilities.
